Varali and then Vakulabharanam!

Oh... when it rains, it always pours! Sanjay's concert for Nadasudha (at the Ganapathy Sachithananda Ashram, Velachery) yesterday was so special. Since I had missed Sanjay's last concert at KGS, this one for me was Sanjay live after a long time with the last one being at the Rathnagireeshwarar temple in Feb. The concert was even more special to me because of this awesome team of S.Varadarajan and Patri Satish Kumar to accompany the master. Quite enjoyed the whole concert as usual especially the pieces in a gripping Varali, Nilambari, Brindavanasaranga (Soundhararajam) and the superb Vakulabharanam RTP! Vakulabharanam made me get back to the 2008 Kalarasana concert where he sung the Swati Tirunal composition "Sadhu Tatha", how much I enjoyed his rendition of the composition and splly the charanams starting with lines "Karuna nireekshana"and "Manasa nija pada namanam". Awww, Nothing like a Sanjay concert on a Sunday evening!
